Zeelo are pleased to be re-launching our service to Man City Academy on Tuesday 29th September 2020. Please see below details of the service. We have some new rules to follow in order to keep you safe, as well as some new features to share.

Covid-19 Safety Measures

We have some new policies agreed with MCA to ensure the safety of our passengers.

Please be aware that the policies must be followed to ensure safe transport and are aimed only to protect yourselves as parents/carers, students, Manchester City employees, vehicle drivers, and the wider public.

1. Face Coverings ๐Ÿ˜ท

  • As per the latest UK Government advice, all drivers and passengers must wear face masks on board, unless under the age of 11 or those who are medically exempt

2. Social distancing โœ‹

  • When waiting for your Zeelo to arrive, please stand at least 1m apart and remain in any social bubbles whenever possible

  • Wait for riders in front of you to board before moving forward

3. Temperature checks ๐ŸŒก

  • Before boarding the vehicle to the academy both player and parent/carer will be temperature checked by the driver.

  • If the temperature check records 37.8 degrees celsius or above, the passenger will have to wait 5 minutes before being tested again.

  • If the second check records 37.8 degrees celsius for the player then neither they nor the parent/carer will be permitted to travel.

  • If the player has a normal temperature but their parent/carer tests 37.8 degrees or above, the player may travel but the parent/carer will not be permitted to travel. This is on the condition that the parent/carer agrees with Zeelo live operations team via telephone that they will be at the drop off location on the return journey to receive the player at least 5 minutes before the scheduled drop of time. If parents/carers are unable to be at the drop off location, then due to safeguarding, the player will not be able to travel.

4. Drop off and waiting ๐Ÿงโ€โ™‚๏ธ

  • Drivers will drop off of all players and parents at the West Gate entrance.

  • Parents/carers will not be allowed to access the training ground under any circumstances, they must also alight the vehicle whilst the training is taking place and cannot stay on the vehicle during the training session.

  • Parents/carers can board once the training session has been completed and the players return to board

5. Vehicle cleaning and surfaces ๐Ÿงผ

  • We recommend that you travel with your own hand sanitizer to use, but hand sanitizer will be available on every vehicle for driver and passenger use.

  • All vehicles are deep cleaned every 24 hours to reduce the risk of infection and hard surfaces are disinfected between each journey

6. Reporting a case ๐Ÿ“ž

  • If a player or parent/carer tests positive for COVID-19 or is isolating due to symptoms and has traveled on the services within the past 14 days, please contact our customer service team as soon as possible on 0330 808 3306

How do I book onto a journey? ๐ŸŽŸ

  • You have already been allocated a travel pass in your Zeelo account, but will still need to select your journeys

  • To do this, visit 'My Rides' in our app or visit zeelo.co/my-zeelo, select your pass and click 'Book' next to any journeys you would like to take

  • If you think you have been allocated to the wrong stop, please contact our customer service team on 0330 808 3306

Some frequently asked questions

Whose details should be on the Zeelo booking?

  • Please use your child's name to register the account so this shows on the bookings

  • The majority of parents sign up with their own email address which is fine

  • If your child has a mobile phone we suggest their number being on the profile for updates and on the day tracking links

  • Parents can set up 'follow my ride' to receive tracking and identical notifications including when your child has been marked as boarded the bus
