Why is my vehicle tracking not working? Schools

What to do if the tracking button is disabled

Updated this week

If you’ve clicked the tracking button and found that it’s disabled or not showing the vehicle’s location, don’t worry—there are a few common reasons this might happen, and we’re here to explain what’s going on and how we handle it.

1. The Driver Hasn’t Started the Trip Yet

Vehicle tracking will only be available once the driver starts the trip.

  • If the trip hasn’t started at least 30 minutes before the first scheduled pick-up, our system automatically alerts our team.

  • As soon as we’re notified, we contact the driver or operator to resolve the issue and get the tracking back on track.

2. The Vehicle Is in a Low Signal Area

Tracking depends on the mobile signal from the driver’s device. If the vehicle passes through an area with poor or no signal, tracking may temporarily pause.

  • This is completely normal and usually resolves itself once the vehicle moves into a location with better coverage.

  • As soon as the device regains signal, tracking will automatically resume.
