What do I need to board the bus? - Schools

About Boarding pass, ID & Badges

Updated this week

1. Show a boarding pass

When your child boards the bus, the driver will likely ask to see the QR Code on their boarding pass. This is the pass on the homepage of your app.

Please tap on the Travel pass with my rides and then choose the boarding pass to show the QR code, which the driver will scan with their driver app. Alternatively, the code is in the email confirmation of your booking.

The QR Code is the same across all your bookings. If you have a travel pass, so if you want to print and laminate it for your child, it will work every day they board the vehicle, as long as they have a valid booking on this trip.

Just so you know, there are some instances for which a pass isn't required. We call these programs 'Just board'. If in doubt, head to the Program page for your work or school, which will explain if you need a pass. Read this article to find your Program page.

2. Do I need to show an ID or Badge to the driver?

Check your Program page to see if your school requires showing an ID / Badge to the driver upon boarding. Read this article if you need help finding your Program page.

Here's a reminder of what to expect on the day:

  • We recommend arriving at the pickup at least 5 minutes before your pickup time.

  • 45 minutes before your coach departs its first pickup location (or at the time of booking if you book after this), we will send you a notification (or SMS if push notifications are not activated) with vehicle details and tracking.

  • You can open the vehicle tracking screen in the Rider App on the Home Screen (or My Rides on the Web app) by locating the "Track" button.

  • Show the QR Code on your boarding pass to the driver upon boarding (unless you're using a "Just board" program that doesn't require a boarding pass, in which case the Driver will count you on the vehicle)
