When purchasing a Ride Bundles (eg "50 rides", ..) you can decide to activate Auto top-up feature at checkout. You will not see this option if your employer / school has decided not to sell Ride bundles. You cannot activate Auto top-up when purchasing with Apple Pay.
Here's how it works:
1. Buy a Ride Bundle
Purchase a Ride bundle. If you need help with this, read this article.
2. Activate the Auto top-up feature
When buying a Ride bundle, you will see a toggle on the payment page.
The Auto top-up will add the same amount of credits into your bundle every time your balance drops to 2 or less credits. You will receive an email confirmation when this happens.
So if you're buying a "30 rides" bundle, 30 additional credits will be added when the balance reaches 2 or less.
3. Changing the payment card associated with Auto top-up
You can change the payment card associated with Auto top-up anytime.
On the Rider app homepage (or "My rides" in the Web-app):
Select the Ride bundle that has Auto top-up activated.
Select the Auto top-up section
Change the payment card associated with Auto top-up. Next time Auto top-up gets triggered, this card will be charged.
4. Deactivating Auto top-up
You can amend turn Auto top-up ON or OFF anytime.
On the Rider app homepage (or "My rides" in the Web-app):
Select the Ride bundle that has Auto top-up activated.
Select the Auto top-up section
Cancel Auto top-up
If Auto top-up fails
If the Auto Top-up doesn’t work, it may you have unsufficient balance in your account. You will receive an email notification to inform you the top-up failed, and that you will need to add more credits manually by purchasing another Ride bundle.
