How can I receive notifications & alerts about my trip?
Get alerted about your trip on the day
There are two types of updates you can receive from Zeelo:
- Push/SMS notification you receive as the account owner: These are updates sent by our Operations team to warn you of delays, incidents and changes.
- "Follower" updates you receive by email. You can add up to 3 followers by account who will receive automated updates by email only.
Push / SMS notifications
Mobile notifications are sent to alert you of any reminders/changes to your upcoming Zeelo ride/trip:
- Upcoming trip details
- Stop closures
- Timetable changes
- Route updates
- ...
📣 When push notifications are turned off, you will still receive critical updates about your trip by SMS instead.
How to activate Push notifications?
You may have seen a screen pop-up in the App to ask if you wanted to receive notifications. When you accept, you will start receiving push notifications.
Turning on/ off push notification via device settings
If you didn't accept push notifications using this pop-up screen and you're now interested in getting them, OR If you want to turn off notifications, you can manage this via the App settings.
Follower updates by email
Please read this article about the "Follow my ride" feature. You can add up to 3 people who can receive email updates about a rider's journey.
At a high level, as a Follower you will receive:
- Reminder before the trip begins, including a link to track the vehicle
- Notification of boarding
- Notification of drop-off at destination
- When a rider doesn't board a trip they're booked on
- Notification of incident or delays
